In 2009 I saw the movie "Megami no hoshu"on TV, and felt in love with Amalfi cost. And as some of the scenes where picked in La Spezia, my mind started to create the path as if I was going to be there soon. Of corse it wasn't soon, I have to wait for the opportunity eight years (lol). However, if I would have wanted to make it happened faster I could do it, but there was always something else to do, other priorities ...

In the music world, Bologna has been called "The Old Lady", although Bologna has the ability of remaining
permanently young. Why is that, it's because Bologna is a medieval university town. It has the oldest university ,which was founded in 1088. Hosting thousand of students since the Middle Ages, Bologna earned the title of "Bologna the Learned". These students enriched the social and cultural life of the city. The city tells its stories through its lined streets, famous towers and lengthy "porticoes". Today is raining, so it's the right time to share my experience, during traveling in Sicily, with you. It was so much joy and challenges of traveling in Sicily, it was most like an adventure (lol).
The first thing to know about Sicily is the many conquerors that ruled Sicily during the history. Over than 25.000 years ago Sicily has been ruled by Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spaniards before to coming part of Italy. Ready to go? Let's start ....We are landing in Catania airport. Here is where our trip starts. Here I are....Can you guess where am I, without looking at the headline? Yes, I'm here to Verona, the city where Shakespeare placed his two star-crossed lovers (悲運の恋人たち) Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, the city of lovers nowadays. But before speaking about those star-crossed lovers and nowadays lover, let me introduce you a little bit to this ancient city. From the 3th century BC, Verona was a Roman trade centre with ancient gates, a forum and a big Roman Arena, which still serves as one of the world's great opera venues. From what I could seen, the city was fulfil with visitors from all around the world. Amidst brand shops and all the artistic heritage buildings, I was walking strayed through the ancient cobbled streets, and leaving the crowd to lead me the place I wanted to be... Too many people, too many love letters all sticked on the wall, and all those other messages written on the wall, which gave the wall an unaesthetic aspect, made me feel a little bit uncomfortable. Hello everyone! As I have some free time I was thinking to add a new article about another town of Italy I have been visited. I know, what you will think reading the title of this article, Crema and Cremona are two different cities. Yes, but....Crema is a town in the province of Cremona, in the region of Lombardy in norther Italy. And again, Crema is at 43 km from Cremona. However they are very similar in architecture. As there is no much to talk about Crema, I will just say that the main economic activities are traditionally related to agriculture and cattle breeding. What I could see on the Saturday market downtown, there were many products as cheese, cotton and wool textiles. Unfortunately I didn't take any picture of those items, it was freezing cold and I wanted to get inside a nice bar to treat myself with a...hot chocolate (lol)...It was delicious.... Now, let's move to the next big town, Cremona. |
